Scrum Master

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

Job Role

We are looking for an experienced full time Scrum Master to join our small and growing team. The Scrum Master will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of projects within the organisation.

Objectives

Housing Software produce several software products to serve the Social Housing industry. We are currently launching new products into the sector and developing our existing products further. Housing Software also produce bespoke solutions to our customers to meet demands.

The Agile Project Manager will need to understand the development pipeline of the various projects and relative priorities. They will need to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects within the organisation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, software development and IT infrastructure.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Running daily stand ups
  • Working with product owners, stakeholders and clients to establish project priorities
  • Using project management tools to develop and implement strategies for successful project delivery
  • Setting priorities for the development team and communicating progress to stakeholders
  • Work with product owners and development team to create specifications for work and conditions of success and break those specifications down into tickets for the sprint boards
  • Managing changes to the project scope, schedule and budget
  • Establishing deadlines and estimates for project deliverables and milestones
  • Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency
  • Identify and resolve project issues and risks including removing technical impediments for the development team
  • Refining and improving internal processes to increase efficiency
  • Assisting with collecting bug reports and working with clients on resolutions/workarounds and communicating progress
  • Help create and maintain documentation for new features and bug fixes/workarounds
  • Increasing in product knowledge and assisting in resolving client queries
  • Disseminating product knowledge within the organisation

Person Specification

  • Outstanding organisational skills
  • Experience of working in an Agile software development environment
  • Knowledge of project management tools and techniques
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff and clients

Beneficial Skills

  • Experience of coaching team members to strengthen their abilities and skills
  • Professional certification such as PMP or PRINCE2
  • Experience of deployment of software
  • Experience of software development pipelines and DevOps

Summary of Terms

Salary £50,000 - 55,000 (subject to experience)
Hours 37.5 hours per week
Holidays 28 days including non-bank holidays occurring between Christmas Day and New Year's day
Location Hybrid

All as statutory
Responsible to Technical Director
Probationary period Six months
Notice period One month (one week during probation period)
Pension provision After three months, Housing Software will automatically enrol staff who are eligible for pension contribution and match up to 10% of salary (5% each) to a pension fund of your choice
